YUNTDAG WIND POWER PROJECT

YUNTDAG RÜZGAR SANTRALİ

“Yuntdağ Wind Power Project”, located in Bergama district of İzmir province, feeds renewable electricity into the Turkish grid. The plant is in operation since March 2008 with a generation capacity of 42 MW. In April 2011 project owner decided to extent capacity of project to 57.5 MW. The emission reductions during the first phase is 113.000 ton CO2 per year.

Beyond the environmental benefits, the Yuntdağ Wind Power Project contributes to sustainable development in the region by: supporting local school and villages, improving local sports facilities, increase in local employment, increase of electricity quality in the region.
